In the afternoon of 8th Aug. 2015, EHS department organized fire fighting training and fire emergency plan excise for the new staff member of the whole company. The entire excise was divided into site simulation fire evacuation and first-aid, extinguisher real shooting excise as well as external fire hydrant three procedures; the training and the whole excise lasted three hours and 28 people participated.

Security and environment department has made full preparation for this emergency pan excise and established temporary site head-quarter to uniformly guide the professional rescue group, evacuation and first-aid group and logistic protection group for their collaborated work. This emergency excise used 26 nos of 2 kilogram/3 kilogram portable dry-powder ABC fire extinguisher, one set of stretcher and one professional rescue vehicle. The logistic department prepared enough resources in simulation fire resource, fire-fighting equipment, site rescue tools and logistic supply etc. aspects for this emergency plan excise and ensured its smooth implementation.

This excise experienced 20 minutes from fire starting till evacuation, rescue and fire extinguishing, timely and efficiently controlling fire situation, protecting personal safety and avoiding losses of the asserts. It properly and clearly divided the work and responsibilities to staff; once the fire burned, we should be calm and every staff member should know how to report to police, how to rescue and evacuate as well as how to self-rescue and self-evacuate.

Through this fire emergency excise, it fully reflected the spiritual appearance of all staff member of our company and improved staff member’s understanding on fire-fighting safety knowledge and proper excise skills of using fire-fighting equipment. It clearly educated the staff member to face the unpredictable emergent situations and had positive effects on implementation of safety production. It realized goals of facing fire disaster in scientific, safe, orderly and efficient manner, strengthened evacuation methods during fire, improved leadership capacity of leaders from different departments as well as gained predicted excise results. All IMO staff member worked earnestly and finished the excise smoothly through overcoming high-temperature and thunderstorm weather.

Reducing accidents was liability and responsibility for every staff member. Every staff and management staff from various grades shall closely cooperate to deal with the emergent accidents. Once receiving the emergency order, it shall implement it rapidly without hesitation under conditions of ensuring itself safety and shall not push its responsibility or refuse to implement the order under any excuses. Our company was a big family with fire-fighting capacity and executive force. Meanwhile, we hope that everybody in the next plan excise can be more active and adapt itself to deal with different kinds of emergent situations.
