On the afternoon of June 21^st, 2009, security central division organized a fire fighting training and a fire drill for the whole staff of the plant. The fire drill was divided into three processes: on-site simulation of fire emergency evacuation, using of fire extinguisher for early-rising fire and operating practice for outdoor fire hydrant. The training and fire drill lasted for 2 hours and more than 40 people were involved.

Security central division had made complete preparation for this fire drill, it established a temporary on-site directing apartment to direct the professional rescue crew, evacuation rescue team, and logistics support team to fighting against the fire coordinately. Twenty 2 kg / 3 kg portable ABC dry powder fire extinguishers, one stretcher and one professional rescue ambulance were used in the fire drill. The property department really guaranteed the fulfillment for fire drill by providing complete preparation and abundant resources on stimulating fire seat, fire-fighting instruments, on-site rescue equipment and logistics support. 

The fire drill lasted for 20 minutes from the breaking out of fire to emergency evacuation and putting out the fire. They controlled the fire, guaranteed people’s security and avoided property damage timely and efficiently. They really made it that work and  responsibility were clearly divided to the people, at the first time when fire break out, every staff should keep calm and know what to do, how to alert a fire alarm correctly, how to put out the fire correctly, how to evacuate and how to rescue oneself and escape from fire.

The fire drill fully showed the mental outlook of the whole staff and strengthened the staff’s understanding for fire knowledge and corrects using for fire-fighting equipment. It made the staff clearly know how to deal with emergency situation and played a positive role in the company’s safe production. It realized the goal to deal with fire accident in “scientific, safe, orderly and fast� manner. It also strengthened the staff’s utilizing for fire-escaping methods and improved the ability of directors from each department to deal with emergency accidents and gained expected effect. The IMO staff took a serious attitude towards the fire drill and gave up their holiday to fulfill the fire drill smoothly.

Every staff has the duty and responsibility to reduce the damage that accident brings to company. The staff and managers at all levels must cooperate closely to handle  accident s, once received command, it is incumbent upon all the staff to carry it out fast on the premise that they can guarantee the security of themselves, they shouldn’t make an excuse to pass the buck or reject execution. In this way, our company can be a big family and a collective with fighting capacity and executive ability. At the same time, i hope that everybody could be more active and play it by ear when dealing with various emergencies in the next fire drill.
