Vice governor Lan Shaomin along with his team field inspecting the development of Jiangsu ecological protection leading areas in IMOC
Wujin and Yixing are located in the upstream of Taihu Lake which are established as a leader in ecological protection in Jiangsu Province this year. The construction of leading area is a key measure for Wujin District to make breakthroughs in innovation, introduce typical routes and enhance the level of ecological protection and it is also the key task of this year’s “263†special action.
In order to accelerate the construction of leading areas on October 31st, the construction of province's ecological protection leading area on-site promotion was held in Wujin and Yixing. Vice governor Lan Shaomin, deputy secretary-general of the provincial government Lu Liusheng, the director of the Provincial Department of Environmental Protection Chen Mengmeng, Vice Mayor of Changzhou City, Wujin District Party Secretary Shi Zhijun, Vice Mayor Li Lin, Wujin District Mayor Dai Shifu, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Economic and Information Technology Bureau, Finance Bureau, Land and Resources Bureau, Environmental Protection Agency, Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau, Rural Working Committee, Water Conservancy Bureau, Marine Fisheries Agency, Taihu Lake Office, and other relevant department leaders, Wujin District Deputy Secretary Ye Minghua, Changzhou “263†Office Full-time Deputy Director Zhou Zhonghua and leaders of Wuxi and Yixing participate in the activity.
On the morning of that day, vice governor Lan Shaomin led the team to for the on-site inspection of IMOC, in the workshop of IMOC, only a dozen of operators working on 5 busy production lines. These full automated machines mainly processing gold plating, tin plating and nickel plating. Compared with conventional surface treatment rinsing which consumes large amounts of water, IMOC’s production lines are able to separate and collect dragged-out acidic and alkaline waste water which is recycled and reused more than 500 times. The rate of re-usage reaches 98% after ion exchange treatment.
According to the developing requirements of ecological protection leading areas, Heavy pollution projects stay in focus of the teams development such as chemical industry, printing and dyeing, electroplating, etc. will be eliminated by the end of 2019. Vice governor Lan Shaomin achieved a detailed understanding of the production process, the water processing and recycling technology. The team was satisfied with the environmental awareness of IMOC and the High Tech Zone’s “263†special action. The Vice governor also mentioned that enterprises like IMOC set the benchmark for companies which are clean and environment-friendly.
