EHS department organized a fire protection knowledge training and fire emergency plan drilling for all new employees in the range of entire company on Sep 25th, 2020. The drilling divided to three processes: simulation of fire escape and treatment, put out the  early fire by fire extinguisher and operated the fire hydrant outdoor. The training and drilling lasted for three hours and involved 37 employees.

EHS department makes sufficient preparation for this drilling and set up the temporary headquarters. The headquarters will command the professional emergency team, dispersal and rescue team and logistics support team to work together. This drilling used 37 portable fire extinguishers of ABC dry powder, one stretcher and an emergency car. The MP department made preparation and resources just like the fire burning, fire instruments, rescue instruments, logistics supply and so on completely for this drilling.

This drilling lasted for 30 minutes from the fire happened to extinguish and escape to rescue. We controlled the fire expansion to keep the employees safety and prevent the property lost timely and effectively. We achieved the mission with division of labor clearly and responsibly. We should to let every employee to know how to save the life and escape from the fire, extinguish fire and give an alarm calmly and correctly at the first time when the fire happened.

We manifested all employees' mental attitute fully and promoted the knowledge of fire protection and the actual skill to use fire instruments correctly by this drilling. We made all employees know how to do that when faced sudden emergency and the drilling had the positive function to the development of the safety management. We achieved the objective which is dealing with the fire accident scientifically, safely, orderly and rapidly. We've got the expectant effect to inhance the method for escape and the command and manage ability of department managers when faced the emergence. The employees of IMOC treat the drilling earnestly and finish it successfully.

Deficiencies and problems in this drill:

    1.The fire hydrant outdoor near the water pump room was lack of spanner, the connection between the fire hose and the interface was too loose to leak water
       when using;

    2.The backup battery of the old fire control system can not supply for 8 hours after power failure;

    3.The initiative for the drill was poor.

It is the duty and responsibility for every employee to reduce the loss when the accident came to the company. All of the employees and managers must dealing with emergency by cooperation with each other when receiving the instructions and ensured your own safety rapidly without any excuses or refuse to do that. We are the family and the team with strong power and implementation. Also we hope everyone became more active and effective in the next drill to deal with emergency adaptively.
