Positively Carrying Out Low-Carbon Development --- IMO-China’s World Environment Day

Did you plant trees today? Don’t let our teardrop becomes the last drop of water on the earth!

Today is June 5^th, 2008 --- the World Environment Day. The theme of this year is developing low-carbon economy and quitting smoking. In order to respond to the theme and express and show the determination and action of IMO-China, our company conducted a tree-planting activity to welcome the World Environment Day. general manager Mr. Egervari together with office employees came in front of the administrative office building, they took up their shovels to plant a crape myrtle plantlet which symbolizing green and environment protection under the sunshine. Though it was very hot then, general manager Mr. Egervari , property manager and EHS manager worked together to fill in the hole and water the tree seriously. Mr. Egervari declared: “We make concerted efforts for environment protection!�

The aim of yearly tree-planting activity on World Environment Day is appealing to everybody to protect the ecological environment and common resources, as well as to construct green companies.

After low-carbon economy became the global developing project, not only carbon balance plan is used to judge whether enterprises had built good environment for citizen, but also enterprises must pay for carbon emissions. IMO-China responded actively to the strategy of sustainable development and promoted the development of low-carbon economy.
